Recently I attended a Camera Club of Richmond meeting and heard a talk by Gordon Stettinius. Stettinius is the founder of Candela Gallery in Richmond (https://www.candelagallery.com/) and I will do a post on him and his gallery sooner rather than later.
But, for right now, one of the photographers Stettinius mentioned is Emmet Gowin. Gowin hails from Danville, Va. and enjoys an international reputation. Here's a link to his wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmet_Gowin. And here's a link to some of his photographs at the Pace Gallery: https://www.pacegallery.com/artists/emmet-gowin/
If you look at some of these images I think you will agree that he deserves the praise he has been given. Enjoy!
